Police in Louisiana are still looking for one of three brothers accused of raping a 10-year-old girl who had locked herself inside a bedroom to hide from them.
The three men, who live with the victim and her family, were home alone with the child last week when they began making sexual advances toward her, even offering her money at one point, authorities said.
The girl then ran to a bedroom and locked herself inside, but the alleged perverts broke the lock, undressed the victim and sexually assaulted her, according to police.
The horrific incident happened Sept. 9 at a home in the New Orleans suburb of Kenner. Three days later, the child disclosed the rape to a relative, who then reported the incident to authorities right away.
Two of the suspects, 35-year-old Raul and Wilmer Paz-Perez, were arrested that same day and charged with first-degree rape.
Their younger brother, 31-year-old Elder Paz-Perez, remains at large. Anyone who has any information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Kenner Police Department as soon as possible.
In Louisiana, a charge of first-degree rape can result in the death penalty when the victim is under the age of 13.
