Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft can you be arrested later on?

Me and my boyfriend were at a cell phone store. We were looking at cases for the phone he was going to buy while we waited for assistance. He decided to steal a case. We didn't see many cameras, but I helped block him from being seen on camera. He slipped it in his jacket and walked out to put it in the car. We realized we didn't see a camera on the other side of us that probably recorded us.

He bought the phone and the store now knows who he is and has all his information. Since we already left the store and none of the employees noticed... do you think they will come after us? Do stores go after people if they caught them on tape and have their information?

What should we do? Just deny that we did it?

If the theft is discovered they may file a criminal complaint and give Police your info. Then Police will have until statute of limitations runs out to arrest you.
