Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Drug Testing

I was caught shoplifting and have to attend court tomorrow, i took about 85$ worth of merchandise and im 18 years old, first offense.I live in Michigan and was wondering if the court system would take into consideration my success in school and community service and such? And also will I be drug tested in court?

It can't hurt to bring those issues up. However "you" should not be saying anything your Lawyer should. Is this your first court date? If so plead not guilty or enter no plea at all and request Public defender. I cannot say if there will be drug testing or not probably not. However if your not a drug user there is no issue
